She's best known as Missandei from the HBO television show, the fantasy Game of Thrones (2011). Nathalie Emmanuel was born on Southend-on-Sea located in Essex, England to parents from Saint Lucian, English and Dominican descendance. Nathalie is able to attribute her determination to be an actress in the beginning due to her mother. When she was 10 she portrayed Young Nala in The Lion King, a West End production of The Lion King. Her TV debut came in 2006 as Sasha Valentine, a teen actress on Hollyoaks (1996). Emmanuel starred in the series until 2010, in which her plotlines focused on sexual prostitution and heroin addiction. Nathalie was the host of BBC Three's Web-sex : What's The Risk that examined the internet-based sexual habits of UK 16-24 year olds. In the year following, she made her film debut in the suspense film Twenty8. In 2011, she appeared as Missandei in HBO's fantasy-drama show Game of Thrones. The year 2015 saw Emmanuel was promoted to a regular cast member in the series. That same year, she portrayed computer hacker Ramsey in the action film Furious 7 (2015) and Harriet in the sequel to sci-fi Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015). FHM magazine ranked Emmanuel 99th in their ranking of the 100 Sexiest Women in 2013. In April 2015 the actress was in InStyle magazine as well as GQ.
